The only exception is fish in a 10-gallon (or smaller) tank.Residents found with a pet will be charged a substantial clean-up and re-carpeting fee and documented for violating university policy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Air Conditioners and Kitchen Appliances &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>If you need an air-conditioned room, please select facilities with air conditioning when applying, as you are not permitted to install a unit yourself. Cooking appliances such as microwave ovens, hotplates, toaster ovens, water heaters, coffee makers, barbecues and rice cookers are allowed only in housing units with kitchens and are prohibited in student rooms and other spaces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISH\/Satellite TV Antennas &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Installation of these devices is a \u201cphysical alteration\u201d of the building and\/or the room or apartment, which is not allowed for safety and security reasons.
