Building

By choosing Cardinal 'N Gold, students can become part of a USC Housing's green community, where residents' efforts to live sustainably are support by programming and educational events.

All apartments in this two-story building are the one-bedroom for two residents floor plan that is so popular with upperclassmen. The building's location is close to both campus as well as the shops and restaurants on Figueroa Street.

Features & Amenities

The commitment to sustainability is demonstrated throughout the building. Each apartment will be equipped with water and energy saving technologies as well as furniture crafted from recycled steel and reclaimed wood. Cardinal 'N Gold's air-conditioned living rooms and bedrooms and household electricity are partially powered by the solar array on the building's roof.  Each apartment has a three-bin recycle/compost/landfill system and water- and energy-saving technologies.

Residents can enjoy the sunny Southern California weather in the deck area that features patio furniture, chaise lounges and a barbecue.

Undergraduate residents will have a mandatory partial meal plan that can be used at all USC Hospitality residential dining halls and other outlets.

Parking

Parking is available in a small carport behind the building with permits assigned by USC Transportation.
